CAPS programs have been showcased at national and international conferences on child
abuse and neglect, and have received many citations and awards including:
- the NYS Eleanor Roosevelt Community Service Award for outstanding contribution to the Long Island community
- recognition as a "model volunteer primary prevention program" by NYS Department of Social Services
- the 1998 Metro Region Allstate Safety Leadership Award, Allstate’s most prestigious safety honor.
